Our activities over past years have mainly involved children of Primary School age in a number of local schools. In the coming year we will seek to review our activities within Secondary Schools & FE Colleges. Rtn. Mike Halstead will become Liaison Officer for this.

We are in the 11th year of our Literacy in Schools Programme, which is going from strength to strength. We have now completed some 6,000 hours listening to children read. 24 Rotarians & Volunteers, including Members from Stafford Club make an

excellent contribution at schools in Stafford & Doxey. Dictionaries were presented to all children in 4 Primary Schools progressing to Secondary Education. We seek to expand the scheme & would welcome any volunteers.

We painted fences & sheds at Greenhall Nursery Sensory Garden, & for the 8th year funded & ran the barbeque which was a great success & raised over £1,000.

At The Grove School on Highfields we planted several trees & part funded an Eco Garden.

For the 6th year running we have played Father Christmas at Silkmore Lane Primary School & gave out presents to over 120 children. Well done Santa!
